Medical emergencies can occur anytime. Whether it is a minor or major life-threatening medical emergency, our physicians are available 24 hours a day to provide a full spectrum of emergency care and treatment to all patients.
What is a Medical Emergency?
A medical emergency is when a person could lose their life or be permanently hurt as a result of a medical condition. Emergency rooms throughout Texas provide care for critical or life-threatening emergencies.
Medical emergencies include the following:
- Difficulty Breathing
- Severe Chest Pain
- Sudden bad Headache or Migraine
- Heavy Bleeding
- Inability to breathe, walk, move or talk
- Seizures
- Loss of consciousness
- Poisoning or drug overdose
- Broken Bones or Severe Wounds
- Head Injury
- Eye Injury
- And more
24-Hour Emergency Care
We provide emergency care to patients of all ages including children and adults with both minor and major emergency care needs and our physicians work in clinics and emergency rooms staffed by emergency trained nurses, licensed radiologists and laboratory technologists.
If you feel you are having a life-threatening medical emergency, please call 911 immediately, and then notify your RTM Doctor so we can coordinate your treatment with your local emergency room or Primary Care Physician (PCP).
